What practical books have people got on their shelves? I live in a flat and have no shed or workshop so it's all pretty pointless my buying DIY books but I have a few.
From 1955 I have The Treasure Book of Homemaking which was published by Pins & Needles magazine. It's heavy on the plywood, which is a look I love, but I wouldn't evne know where to buy
good ply from as opposed to the stuff they board up derelict houses with. Here's a pic from that book:

Hand Made Modern by Todd Oldham and
ReadyMade ;both contemporary books.
