Since it's looking like PH is no more, or at least, on hold indefinitely, I wanted us to have a place to meet up and keep in touch. Welcome to the Social Club! Most of you know me as Mimi, from Port Halcyon and everywhere else! Please stop in and post a quick Intro here for the new folks, and then let's pick up where we left off!

Kittenwithawhip here! Y'all know me from Port Halcyon (I thought of that name!) and of course from the good old ATOMIC days. Bear with me, I haven't done the retro thing in a long time and I'm just ramping up again. I finally bought some great stuff and was just INCHES away from posting it under the "Show us your stuff" thread when - KABOOM - the cafe went up in a big mushroom cloud. What a pisser. In Other News: Hey, Ali, GREAT avatar! I thought I was the only one who knew about Hilda!

Speaking of avatars, what a lovely Vogue cover, majorwifey! Not only is the content of most magazines less than stellar these days, oh, how I long for the vintage covers -- they truly were works of art. I've actually been thinking about writing an article on the subject for awhile -- the high-tone womens' and home & garden mags, specifically, from the '20s - early '60s.

Heh! Me too - I just sent out my last batch of Christmas cards this week. When I got back from vacation, I noticed all my mail piled up on the table as requested. Unfortunately, my housesitter took it ALL inside, including the mail I'd left to go OUT that first day. Oh well! Better late than never.

While we're at it, I didn't get the cards either...and I feel awful about it, since I'm the one who pushed for the card swap! Oh well, at least a good many people did swap cards and we kept it going!
