I suppose it is one way of Hollywood portraying strong female characters but you'd think they could come up with something new...

I really don't have a huge problem with remaking some movies, but there are some that just don't need it.
Although, did you see the remake of The Women from the 50s? Called The Opposite of Sex, with June Allyson and a young and beautiful Joan Collins as Crystal Allen.

I just don't think the story can be brought into a modern context... and if they are trying to redo it in the time it was originally set... there are simply no actresses like there were than. As far as I am concerned.

| I love The Women! I caught most of Holiday Inn yesterday. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit its the first time I've seen it.

| We caught part of a Dick Powell film last night, one I haven't seen.
They're profiling big bands and their music on Wednesdays in July!
