I'll kick off this new topic with news that Taschen has reprinted the complete Arts and Architecture magazine from 1945-1954.

  • Ten years, ten boxes, 118 issues, 6076 pages!
  • Every issue from 1945 to 1954 reproduced in its entirety
  • The magazines are reproduced as exact facsimiles, from the covers, articles and advertisements to the paper and binding
  • Packaged in custom-designed boxes for easy vertical or flat storage, one for every year
  • Limited to 5000 numbered copies
  • Supplement booklet includes a historical essay by former A&A publisher David Travers, translated from the English into German, French and Spanish; an overview of all the covers and contents; and a selected index to articles
  • Arts & Architecture 1945-1954 will be followed in 2009/2010 by a second volume, 1955-1967
  • The complete ten-box set is priced at a mere $700/£400.

Wow.

That sounds amazing, but a little price prohibitive!

I'd love to sneak a peek, though...
