| Handy tool that can do just about everything or gimmicky toy that isn't particularly good at anything?
I own one but it doesn't really get a lot of use, mainly because I have no shed or workshop. The few times I have used it it seemed a bit gutless.

It came in handy a few weeks ago for cutting through a heavy-duty bicycle padlock in less than ten seconds, for which a hacksaw wasn't making any progress. I'll have to admit that I probably don't use it as much as I could. Maybe all of the attachments make it confusing.

| I use it fairly often, but then I make art with it. Also, I've found it invaluable as a pine car tool. I have a cordless one, which is convenient, except when the battery dies, and you have to wait as it recharges. Also, I think the corded one may have a little more power. They do make heavy-duty versions for professionals if you think one might use it suchly. "Suchly"? | |
