We finally finished our little girl's room. This used to be our guest room--the furniture is still the same, but with the addition of the crib. The theme is "vintage rose", with a dusty rose color on the walls (definitely
not baby pink, even though it appears that way) and pink accents on the lamps and linens. The bedroom suite (full size bed, nightstand, highboy, vanity & bench) is a gorgeous burled mahogany with yellow Bakelite pulls. It belonged to an elderly relative who bought it in the early 1930s; I'm very lucky to have inherited it.
This is the wardrobe & bed. The wardrobe is not part of the suite; I bought it separately years ago.
The nightstand. I have a pair of these lamps (they were originally on the vanity) but am only using one:
The vanity. Kate is 6 months old now and not yet mobile, so we don't really have to worry about baby-proofing, but obviously some of the small items on the vanity will soon have to be put away.
The crib & highboy. The wallhanging over the crib is a very old piece of embroidery (I believe it was a crib coverlet, c.1910) that I sewed a rod pocket on and hung on a ribbon. It has a picture of a little girl in bed and says "Good Night" in pink embroidery.
