For all you hipsters out there, tune in, turn on, wig out to the sophist-o-phonic sounds of Luxuria Music.com.

Here's the blurb from the site:

LuxuriaMusic is an Internet Radio station that broadcasts out to the world
from a small studio in Hollywood, Calif. While almost eight years old, the stationís
programming concepts are both fresh and revolutionary, especially when compared
with whatís going o≠n in the prehistoric world of terrestrial radio.

What the listener hears upon tuning into LuxuriaMusic (luxuriamusic.com) is
a meticulously curated mixture of musical genres that make up the stationís
eclectic alchemy. Surf Music, Bossa Nova, Exotica, Space-Age Bachelor Pad, Jazz,
Soft-Psych, Sunshine Pop, Wall of Sound, Latin, Go-Go, and Film & TV music
of the past 50 years are expertly distilled and blended in order to concoct
the ďhighly intoxicating and sometimes hallucinatoryĒ LuxuriaMusic
Sound. Somehow, in this context, it all makes sense.

This is entertainment for people who possess a high level of pop-culture consciousness.
Itís for hipsters well-versed in both The Brady Bunch and The Wild Bunch;
Nick at Nite and Playboy After Dark; Disneyland and DisPepsi; Josie & The
Pussycats and Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!

LuxuriaMusic airs three types of programming:

1. Live, interactive music shows hosted by DJs
2. Pre-taped shows by an international syndicate of DJs
3. Luxotron 5000: The stationís mascot, Luxotron is a virtual DJ/jukebox
stocked with more than 8,000 songs.

..and here's a flyer I did for Lucky La Rocka who's just got his own slot:

Good call. Most of stuff I've been listening to seems to be '50's-60's loungey, smoothy-smooth type stuff though- bit like cream cake, a bit is nice but too much makes you tom and dick. When do they dirty it up, or am I listening to the wrong channel?

I know what you mean about too much of it being a bit nauseating. Try having a listen to the Howie Pyro session tomorrow (very early morning) as I know that's pretty lively because he's already on Myspace.
Unfortunately, as I've just been informed, the Flipsville slot is on hold until further notice.
