I always imagine, for some unknown reason, that stuff that comes in gift sets is a bit sub-par so the Lucky Tiger shaving set that m'lady gave me for Christmas was a very pleasant surprise.

It comes in a nice big tin and includes a face wash, a very good shaving cream, an incredibly good after shave balm (no sting) and a moisturiser. Now that I've started using the straight razor (for the pencil 'tache) I'm in need of soothing salves and this lot does the trick.

The Lucky Tiger hair tonics are also very, very good and outstanding value.

The shaving set is pretty much scentless. The aftershave is just a soothing aloe vera concoction.

May I ask where your good lady bought Lucky Tiger? I've never heard of it. My husband regards the entire male grooming product business as just another conspirator in the feminisation of the British male. I have to be careful to only buy him "real man" stuff. Very Happy

I think it came direct from the Lucky Tiger website.
There should be no questioning the manly credentials of the stuff; it's got a tiger on the label. 'Nuff said.

Oh dear, I'm going to have to reveal my secret source.

It was from HQman.com!

I first saw it in a Sunday supplement just before Christmas, one of those gifts for Christmas features. I don't think I had ever seen anything in those features that I wanted to buy for anyone before seeing that. I knew Lucky Tiger did good hair tonics as LS has some so thought their shaving potions would be good too.

And as LS says, you can't get more manly than a tiger Wink

I'd never even heard of Lucky Tiger before. For a minute I thought you were talking about Tiger Balm, which is probably the last thing you'd use for shaving.

Being a girl, I'm all for little bottles of stuff, but theonly new thing I've had in a while is a bottle of Orange Blossom Water I got at an ethnic store for $3! I'm used to the kind you have to purchase in a cobalt bottle for $20 or more, but this stuff works great and it's not neroli oil floating in distilled water, so that makes it an ironically superior blend. I love the stuff and use it after I wash my face. I wonder if it would last if I put it in my hair as a rinse? I fully intend to buy another bottle and put it in my refrigerator at work, since summer is coming up sooner than I'd like (Warm winter = unbearable summer) but I'm afraid someone will pinch it.
