I'm re-reading another Phryne Fisher, and have a book on WWI by a local author in my TBR queue, as well as a few others I picked up at the subscription library. A P.G. Wodehouse (Bertie Wooster) on audio, and an unabridged version of The Two Towers on audio as well.

In Waterstones today I saw a novel written by Gypsy Rose Lee called The G-String Murders. I nearly bought it, but didn't (I was worried it might be rather terrible). Has anyone here read it?

I've got the film starring Barbara Stanwyck but I've not got the book.

Yes. It's not bad. I believe it was ghostwritten.
