| Tonight we're having baked chicken breast, cornbread stuffing, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes with gravy, and steamed broccoli. We might have pudding for dessert (if we have room). YUM! |

| Groceries are low. I may just shove a sausage casserole in the oven and do some green beans to go with. _________________ Why yes, I AM that kind of girl!

| No idea! I've been living on sandwiches and soup while nursing the cold. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. Being there was like being in heaven, without going to all the bother and expense of dying." ~P.G. Wodehouse

| Thanks! I AM better, just not 100% yet. I want maximum comfort food with minimum calories...but I don't know if it can be done! _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. | Trout in a white wine & butter sauce- wish I had some capers, but no- maybe some slivered almonds. That with mac & cheese for the boys and steamed broccoli. |

| We had shepherd's pie tonight. I always forget how much hubby and the boys love it. Even though I had my special diet dinner, there still wasn't enough. Each of them had two servings and were willing to lick the pan clean. Every time I make it, I tell myself I should make a double batch, but I never remember that the next time. |

| We had pizzas; some good shells I get at the market (honey, not sugar, and they're pretty small, too). I topped them with a light cream sauce, broiled chicken, some cheddar, and mushrooms, onions and yellow bell pepper. DH had a whole one, I had half and a green salad. Mixed greens, red onion, yellow bell pepper, crimini mushroom, carrot, celery & strawberries, with a lime vinaigrette. And a glass of chardonnay. Tonight will be chicken cutlets with a mushroom sauce, and rice pilaf, plus broccoli or salad greens, I think. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. | Roast whole wild turkey (an 18lb bird) with rosemary stuffing, cranberry sauce and broccoli. The cranberry sauce has to be the jellied kind (no skins) and must be served in the shape of the can it comes in, so says the man of the house... It does seem rather strange to be making a whole turkey for a weeknight dinner, but today is the only day I can be at home all day to mind it. |

| I miss turkey! (My husband can't eat it, he has an allergy.) I could always get a small piece, but it's not the same as roasting one entire. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. | Lindydiva, the answer you're looking for is a nice, warm, comforting cup of tea. Very soothing, minimum calories and it will warm you up from the inside. Kamikat, we're having Shepherd's Pie tonight! Funnily, that is my diet food. It's a Weight Watchers recipe. I've been following Weight Watchers for the last 4 weeks, paying for the sin of eating freely during pregnancy. How Tedious. But some of the recipes are quite good. It's breakfast here and I've just made scones using some dough leftover from a cooking project from yesterday. They're warm and smell delicious. I'm going to try to go easy on the butter and limit myself to one. |

| Tea for turkey, eh? Not that I don't like a nice cuppa. We've a cupboard full, real tea and tisanes and all. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements.
