| Retro mishmash today. I'm wearing a lipstick red 50s dress, cotton, with spaghetti straps and a full skirt. There are cream & gold carnations painted on the skirt. *Repro 20s shoes, lipstick red with cream piping and a fabulous wide strap & button. Perfect period heels. *Sterling drop earrings set with tiny peridot, garnet & MOP. Hair in ponytail, bright red lipstick. Red 40s cable cardi for when I start to freeze in here. I'm carrying a Nantucket basket purse with a leather strap, hinge & fasteners. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. | A pair of Levi's that look very vintagey, I love them. With a vintage early fifties bowling shirt, and thirties repro shoes, and my hair is in braids because I had no time to do anything with it. But I threw a leopard print scarf over it. _________________ Ongoing Vintage Halloween at my HalloweenForum blog http://miss_spitfire.livejournal.com |

| I'm wearing a black linen blouse with a red pencil skirt and red, with a white trim, patent heels. I did my hair in rough curls this morning but I have little hope of them staying in! I also have my silver cat ring on and my silver charm braclet. _________________ Sophistikitten, MySpace |

| Today I am wearing my 'Orford' trousers and 'Borough' jacket in Engineer's navy twill, both from Old Town Clothing, a 3 button, unbleached cotton vest, a newsboy cap, tan brogue boots and a red spotted neckerchief.
Accessories include a Smiths pocket watch and chain (worn from lapel buttonhole to breast pocket), custom-made, solid silver wallet chain and silver pinkie ring with amber stone.
According to your own cultural reference points I may resemble any of the following:

| I'm wearing a deadstock housedress we found yesterday. It's white with gray & pink print, edged in pink, with a front zipper. ...and I'm wearing white stilettos, and a gray woven shawl, fastened with a sterling lamb pin from the 40s. Hair in a ponytail, pink lipstick, pearl earrings. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. | We're expecting a prospective client today,so I'm wearing a suit.
(Banana Republic... but it looks very late 30s.)
*Black & off-white fine linen blend tweed suit; modified fishtail skirt with a kick pleat, fitted short sleeve jacket with pleats on the sleeve and at the neckline.
I added creamy yellow Bakelite knot buttons, and shortened the belt (self belt, with self-covered buckle).
*White silk polka dot scarf (dots in black, yellow, red, blue) tied at the neck.
*Creamy yellow Bakelite knot earrings; gray modified peeptoe wedges with cream trim, strap and some brass studs (also repro); sheer stockings.
Hair in a Rita Hayworth pageboy; carrying a black leather pouch purse with caramel Bakelite handles. Red lipstick.
I feel like Jessica Rabbit at the office! _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements. Being there was like being in heaven, without going to all the bother and expense of dying." ~P.G. Wodehouse |

| I'm finally wearing something half-decently retro enough to talk about.
Light green linen blouse with Peter Pan collar and puff sleeves, cuffed denim capris and brown skimmers. For me, this is about as dressy as I get these days! |

| A vintage robe in pale peach with cream lace accents.
We got home late from the Beach last night and I am dragging along this morning, putting off the inevitable-getting back to Work. _________________ !!Read all about it in the Charm City Daily!! |

| A fitted dark denim skirt that falls just below the knee, hand-knit raglan with green/turquoise/rust stripes (knit it myself from a 1934 pattern), green suede slingbacks (30s repro), Bakelite bracelets in rootbeer and green, and green Bakelite earrings. My hair is parted on the side, a wave over one eye, with lots of curls and waves. _________________ "To say that New York came up to its advance billing would be the baldest of understatements.
